Riley M. Beckett is the founding partner in the law firm of Beckett, Yott & McCarty, Chtd. He set out on his distinguished career in employment related law by serving as General Counsel for the Nevada Industrial Commission.

Laurie A. Yott is a partner in the law firm of Beckett, Yott & McCarty, Chtd. She has been an attorney for more than twenty-five years and has successfully handled thousands of workers’ compensation, personal injury and subrogation cases.

She and Riley Beckett are unquestionably Nevada’s leading experts in the subrogation field. Mrs. Yott has also frequently been retained to handle workers’ compensation cases at the upper appellate levels. She is currently handling numerous cases before the Nevada Supreme Court and was successful in defending a Nevada workers’ compensation decision at the United States Supreme Court in 2002.

Mrs. Yott is a dynamic public speaker and is often requested to give seminars to business and professional groups on employment related topics.

James A. McCarty became a partner in Beckett, Yott & McCarty, Chtd, in May of 2006. Mr. McCarty is acknowledged to be one of the pre-eminent workers' compensation professionals in the State of Nevada.

Since he began practicing in Nevada in 1986, he has tried thousands of workers' compensation appeals, and is one of very few attorneys in the state to have represented the interests of injured workers, as well as employers, third-party administrators and insurance companies. Jim is one of the few lawyers in Nevada with extensive experience in employer account issues. He is also unique in his record of successes in subsequent injury fund matters.

After graduating from Creighton University in 1980, Mr. McCarty obtained his J.D. degree from the Creighton School of Law in 1983.

Mr. McCarty is a member of the State Bars of Nevada and Nebraska, and is admitted to practice before all Nevada and Nebraska State and Federal Courts. Beckett, Yott & McCarty is privileged to have a respected and capable employment attorney such as Jim McCarty as a member of the firm.

S. Todd Eikelberger is the newest addition to the Beckett, Yott & McCarty, Chtd. legal team. He is a licensed Nevada and California attorney who began his legal career in the Los Angeles area; however, he decided to return to his roots in Nevada.

Mr. Eikelberger has considerable background in transactional areas including real estate, entity formation, finance, contracts and fraud which allowed for a smooth transition into the workers’ compensation and personal injury fields. He also has experience in motion pictures and entertainment law.

Mr. Eikelberger has a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics – with emphasis in Multinational Management and Real Estate -- from The Wharton School of Business, The University of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice before both State and Federal Courts in Nevada and California.
